Welcome! Thank you so much for reaching out. Here is all the information you need about booking your photo session with Asheville’s best family photographer.
The Classic Family Session
My most popular offering is the Classic Family Session. These are laid back and fun, and include 90 minutes of shooting (give or take) at your home. I prefer to make photos in the morning or evening, when the light is low and rich but still available inside your house. I shoot with a hybrid approach of digital and film, including medium format film!
After your session, I will send you previews within 48 hours! Your complete will be delivered within 3 weeks. Your gallery includes hand toned digital images, artfully edited and high resolution, with complete download and print rights. No picking and choosing- they all belong to you!
Finally, I will curate, design and create a beautiful photo book from our time together and ship it right to your door.

How to Book Your Session
Deposit & Contract
First step is we decide upon a date. I book the entire year out, so feel free to schedule a session as soon as possible, or pick your favorite season and give yourself something to look forward to. I kindly request a $100 deposit via venmo to hold your date: @Melina-coogan
I will send you a simple contract to sign, and then you’re all set!
Creative Consult
Next we’ll arrange a quick call, or email if you prefer, to discuss timing. I’m mainly interested in where and when to find the light in your home- don’t worry, I’ll talk you through it. We’ll also take your routine, bedtimes, etc into account.
On this call I will answer any questions you have, offer wardrobe and activities guidance if you’d like - but remember, these sessions are low key and organic. You’re welcome to put all your trust in me and just go with the flow!
